CPVC Weathers Industry's Toughest Conditions

By Corzan Industrial Systems |

Chlor-alkali applications create some of the harshest conditions to which CPVC material can be subjected, and thus materials intended for use in these settings must be especially resilient to localized corrosion and stress-corrosion cracking. Over the last decade, CPVC material has received a lot of recognition and awareness in the chlor-alkali industry in Europe, North America and other parts of the world.

Made from durable chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), Corzan® Industrial Systems offer superior resistance to corrosive chemicals, high temperatures and harsh application conditions. As a result, pipe and fittings made from Corzan deliver what the process industry needs most – longer service life, lower maintenance costs and reduced downtime in the toughest environments, including: wet chlorine gas, hi-purity brine and brine-saturated chlorine. In fact, after 18 months of exposure in highly corrosive brine solution, high-impact Corzan outperformed standard CPVC in corrosion resistance.
